| Kids 2 Ride Program |
At TilluRide Ranch, we believe all kids should have
the opportunity to love a horse or pony. Our Kids 2
Ride program offers help to low income families who
other wise could not afford the expense of owning &
boarding one of these beautiful creatures.
Each cowboy or cowgirl is assigned a project horse,
pony, or miniature horse to work with on an individual
basis. They are expected to partake in stable
management, feeding, and instruction, and can ride
as much as circumstances allow. The program is
only $40 a month (this covers a small snack for the
kids as most come right after school). Scholarships
applications are available.
Community service is an important part of the barns
activities in the summer and fall months and
members of the barn are welcome to help out.

We also have a special needs program so children who
have special requirements are able with the help of our
volunteers and staff, interact, care for, and take our
horses for a walk/ride.
This is a therapeutic horseback riding program designed
for individuals with physical, mental or emotional
challenges.
Research shows that individuals who participate in
therapeutic horseback riding can experience physical,
mental, and emotional rewards. The horse is a wonderful
therapeutic tool and provides riders with a variety of input
beyond recreational benefits.
Those with impaired mobility experience improved
balance, muscle control, strength, flexibility, posture and
coordination because horseback riding gently and
rhythmically moves the riders body in a manner similar to a
human walking gait. Improved communication, patience,
concentration, and self discipline are benefits experienced
by individuals with learning or mental disabilities.
The unique relationship formed with a horse helps improve
social interaction and trusting abilities for those with
emotional or psychological disabilities.
Other benefits are increased self esteem, fine motor skills,
circulation, self control, respiration, sense of direction, and

| THE SWAP TACK ROOM This is a free tack room. Cowboys & Cowgirls can donate new or old, but still usable tack to others. In order to take something from the swap room, you must give something. It can be anything big or small. The idea here is to help each other. |
